CMK Investigation ("we," "us") is a licensed private investigation firm. Discretion is the foundation of our work, and that extends to how we handle information submitted through this website (cmkinvestigation.com). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us:

• Consultation requests. When you submit the "Request a Consultation" form, we receive the email address you provide, the service you select, and the notes you write (which may include your name, your company's name, or details about your matter).
• Direct email. If you email us at CMKScreening@aol.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
• Basic technical logs. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes.

This website does not use advertising trackers, and does not display third-party ads. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this website is not directed at children.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and discuss the services you requested;
• To scope, quote, and — if you engage us — perform investigative or screening services;
• To maintain the security and proper operation of this website.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers. We do not use it for advertising. Inquiries to an investigation firm are sensitive by nature, and we treat them that way.

How form submissions are processed

Our consultation form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, which transmits your submission to our email. Formspree processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy, available at formspree.io. Our email is hosted by our email provider. Beyond these service providers — which are necessary to receive your message — we do not disclose your inquiry to third parties except where required by law or where you direct us to.

Confidentiality of inquiries

Whether or not you become a client, we treat the contents of your inquiry as confidential. Investigative and screening engagements are additionally governed by applicable Florida law and, where relevant, by the terms of our engagement with you. Background screening services performed for employment or tenancy purposes are conducted in accordance with applicable screening laws, which impose their own strict limits on how subject information is obtained, used, and shared.

Data retention

We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, perform requested services, and meet legal and professional record-keeping obligations. If you would like correspondence you sent us deleted (where the law does not require us to retain it), email us and we will honor the request.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, and we deliberately collect as little as possible. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not include highly sensitive details (such as government ID numbers or financial account numbers) in a website form — those belong in a direct, established engagement.

Your choices and rights

• You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold from your inquiries, to correct it, or to request its deletion (subject to legal retention requirements).
• You may simply email us directly instead of using the form if you prefer.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state or national law; we will honor valid requests made under applicable law.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the website after a change means the updated policy applies.
